Course Description:
Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical applications, this presentation will equip dental clinicians with the knowledge needed to integrate cutting-edge instrumentation and alternative instrumentation strategies to elevate their practice and stay at the forefront of the profession.

Course Objectives:

1. Develop strategies to utilize traditional and alternative instrumentation for non-surgical treatment of periodontal diseases.
2. Discuss how periodontal pocket topography dictates proper instrument selection for narrow and wide deep pockets to improve clinical efficiency.
3. Enhance the ability to utilize alternative fulcrums, and patient and operator positioning beyond the traditional skills learned.
4. Review the principles of instrument sharpening including angles and appropriate techniques while enhancing their overall performance in clinical settings.
