Course Description:
Research still indicates the key to periodontal maintenance and treatment is the mechanical removal of biofilm and calculus. To remove these irritants, the practitioner needs to be aware of instrument options and apply critical decision-making skills while being as efficient as possible. In this course, we will review important techniques related to instrumentation using a problem-and-solution approach. We will also use videos to assess technique and demonstrate common pitfalls for probing, exploring, and hand and power scaling.
